Many people also prefer to use a paste prepared from baking soda. Others go for whitening toothpaste. If you opt for this method you will have to allow the fabric to sit overnight and remove the paste in the morning.



Detergents containing whitening agents can also be very effective in removing deodorant stains. While selecting detergent check whether it contains whitening agent or not. However using these detergents may not be good for dark clothing. Harsh detergents may discolor the fabric.



Many people also swear by vinegar method. According to them applying vinegar is the most effective method of removing deodorant stains. First apply raw vinegar on the affected areas of your garment then let it sit overnight in a solution of water and vinegar. Make sure to use white vinegar because apple cider vinegar or balsamic or wine may not be equally effective.



It is a misconception that a blend of baking powder and vinegar is very good at removing stain. But this is not true. In fact the mixture of these two may result in messy chemical reaction. So using vinegar separately will be a wise decision.
