Removing stuck Coloured Contact lens can be really a tough job! If you want to remove

stuck contact lens, you may follow some of these simple steps:

First of all, do not get nervous and panicky. Try to remain calm and patient.

Wash your hands properly and ensure that the drain in the sink is closed. Place your index finger on your lower eyelid and pull down your eyelid. Gently touch the lower portion of the contact lens with the tip of your finger. Then, try removing the contact lens by looking upwards and slide the lens down towards the white region of your eye.

At this juncture, do remember that if the contact lens is really stuck, it can be extremely difficult to remove it. So, look upwards and hold the lens below your index finger. Move your thumb slightly and try to compress the lens cautiously between your thumb and index finger. Maintain your patience as this entire procedure could be truly tedious and tiring!

If you want to remove hard contacts, then using a plunger would be an effective method. Moisten the cup of the plunger and position it exactly on top of the lens. The lens will stick to the plunger and can be easily removed. Never attempt to remove the hard contact lens with your fingers as it can cause extensive damage to your eye, the lens, or both. Use a lens plunger if you want to remove hard contacts. Soft Coloured Contact lenses are, in fact, easier to remove owing to their flexibility.

Here are a few steps to remove soft contact lenses:

Put a few drops of multipurpose solution, saline solution, or rewetting drops into your eye.

Blink continuously for upto15 seconds.

Place your fingertip on the edge of the contact lens and gently slide it to the white portion of the eye. After that, pinch it to take it out of the eye. Remember not to scratch your eye with your fingernail.

Do contact your ophthalmologist if you are still having a serious problem removing stuck contact lens.
