How To Save Peoples Lives With Water Well Drillers

Unfortunately, there are millions of people in the world in desperate need of clean water

. For example, in rural Nicaragua, there are many small communities of people who have no access to safe water. These folks face danger each and every day as they drink the dirty water from wells they have dug by hand. Harsh soil conditions and economic troubles stop tens of thousands of Nicaraguans from having access to the most basic element on earth - fresh water.

Groups are being asked to gather their resources to take relief teams and water well drillers to these areas in Nicaragua in order to change the lives of these people. This exact scenario is replaying itself all over the world, as it is estimated that 80% of all illness in third world countries is caused by the consumption and use of unsafe water. Statistics also tell us that five million people perish every year from bad water and that two billion are sickened at any given time due to unsafe and contaminated water.

There are numerous relief organisations that can be joined in order to help. What is needed most are water well drillers, sanitation equipment and manpower to move into these countries that are scattered around the globe to dig simple wells for villages and towns so that people can drink clean water, cook their meals and irrigate their crops. These organisations rely on volunteers who wish to donate their time, equipment and/or money in order to help save lives and improve the living conditions of many disadvantaged people.

Another place that is in desperate need is Haiti. The world's largest relief organisations are in Port Au Prince organising efforts in order to rebuild the city's infrastructure after the devastating earthquake, but it is the smaller towns and villages that have been overlooked which need help. Many people living in the capital city fled by the thousands out of desperation and headed into the nearest villages and towns in seek of somewhere safe to live. However, little did they know at the time, was that many of those towns closest to Port A Prince were also affected by the earthquake, with water supplies lost. Water well drillers are desperately needed in these areas in order to create shallow wells so that residents have access to safe, clean water.

Anyone interested in lending a helping hand can find organisations on the internet that are asking for volunteers, groups, and companies willing to travel to these various places to drill for water and build wells. There is also the need for people to train locals how to maintain the freshly drilled water wells to ensure that their water supply remains clean and safe to use. There is a particular need for small to medium sized drilling companies who will donate their time, equipment and manpower in helping drill and install permanent wells. It should be noted that tax breaks are available to these companies so that any costs associated with transporting equipment and workers can be deducted.
