Once these forms have been submitted and assessed, the Companies House will incorporate the company. They will then issue a company formation certificate.

The process might look straightforward and there is a wealth of information regarding the requirements on the Companies House website. Even so, there are hurdles on the way.

The speed and ease with which you can set up a limited company in the UK depends on lodging the correct documents. Unfortunately, Forms 10 and 12 and the Memorandum of Association are not the easiest forms to follow. Incorrectly filled application forms are generally rejected by the Companies House, in which case, you will need to correct the errors and submit them again. In case your business is time sensitive, this could be a long winding process.
