Hair extensions can change the appearance of your hair by changing its length, texture or tone. It is very expensive to get hair extensions which are already attached with clips and then you can put them on only with the help of a professional. But by simple methods you can put it on yourself and thus saving money. The extensions can change your looks and any time of the day you can change your appearance as a whole adding on the extension.
The things you will need for this will be extensions that will match with the color and texture of your real hair, needles for beading between the size 10 and 12, hair thread and hair extension should be of the same color and a scissors and finally extension clips which should have holes on the top of it and should be the same color as extension.
Step 1: the exact measurement to fit your head from one ear to the other ear should be taken and the extension should be cut at half an quarter of an inch shorter than this measurement taken.
Step 2: With the clips prongs facing outwards they should be placed on the wefts of the extension. Now start sewing the right end of the extension through the hole of the clip and continue till all the holes are done. The edge of the extension should be tight. Similarly sew the left end also of the hair extension.
Step 3: two clips should now be sewed to each extension.
Step 4: the portion where the lowest measurements were taken should be parted and after opening the clips, slide then gently into the hair. The edges of the clip should be pushed to the scalp so that it remains locked.
Step 5: Finally comb and style your hair as desired making sure that the wefts and clips are hidden.
If you have a short hair then it will be better to put the extension starting from the top of your head and for thicker hair it is good to sew two wefts together. Also care should be taken not to comb the extension when wet.
