NTLDR is Missing" Error Occurred when you are Using The Computer

Your NTLDR file is missing or corrupted then you will need to fix this error.

There are so many causes for this error and most common are following

1 Computer is booting from a non-bootable media.

2 Computer BIOS Setting is not proper for hard disk drive

3 Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.

4 Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file

5 Corrupt boot sector / master boot record

6 Virus infections, human errors, power outages

Windows Recovery Console :

Recovery Console is effective tools of Microsoft which can be used to repair errors in Windows XP from starting using the command line.

1 Insert the Bootable Windows CD in your Computer

2 When Windows Setup Screen Appear, Press R

3 Type a number when windows installation required to repair (usually 1) and press Enter.

4 Type the required administrator password and press Enter

5 From the command prompt, copy NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM from the i386 folder of the CD to the root folder of the hard drive.

Example- C: is the hard drive and D: is the CD-ROM drive.

COPY D:I386NTLDR C:

COPY D:I386NTDETECT.COM C:

6 Remove The Windows XP CD from CD Drive and Restart the Computer
