How To Spot The Middleman In A Dropshippers List

One of the most common problems with purchasing a dropshippers list is the presence of middlemen. When people purchase a list, they do so in the hope that there won't be any middlemen included. But the truth is that in many instances, suppliers that look completely legit are actually agents and you might not realize it until it is too late. Luckily, there are some ways in which you can identify middlemen before it is too late.

I'll do it all for you

When trawling through ebay wholesalers lists or a dropshippers directory, imagine if you came across a supplier that said they would literally do everything for you. That is, they would supply you not only with the product, but also with a website and store-front, all set up and ready to go.

All you have to do is simply sell the products. Sounds too good to be true? That's because it usually is. For some reason, many people believe that a website is a difficult thing to set up for an online business. The truth is that today, it's a relatively easy thing to do and it doesn't have to cost much as well.

The middlemen on some dropshippers list may offer you a complete website stocked with products. However, it's only later that you realize, you have a site filled with products that are hard to sell. Why? Because there are usually thousands if not millions of other sites just like yours, selling the exact same products. This is like trying to sell shoes in a large mall, filled with shoe stores.

If you complain to your alleged supplier later, they will simply claim you're not working hard enough at selling. To avoid this problem completely, just make your own site. In that way, you can focus purely on finding suppliers with a good product, rather than someone who will also give you a website.

When Wholesale Prices are not Wholesale

Another common ploy used by middlemen on a dropshippers list is that their prices will be higher than other supplier rates. It's easy to avoid this scam altogether if you remember that a wholesaler sells at wholesale prices for a reason. If the prices are higher than average wholesale rates, you're probably dealing with a dropshippers list middleman.

If you're still not sure, simply ask them why their prices are higher. The middleman will probably say that the price doesn't really matter. They may then go on to tell you that you shouldn't worry about selling these products. They will even quote a large retailer and tell you that these retailers mark up their prices and still make a good profit.

At this point, it's important to remember that you are not a large retailer with branches in different parts of the country. A small business simply can't sell products at a very high price and expect to attract customers. If you sell at a lower cost, you'll end up losing money.
