That's why coming into the industry with the proper mindset is extremely important.

First of all, it's critical to your success that from day one, you decide that you are going to succeed. Making this decision is important because there will be challenges and there will be a learning curve. And, you might be tempted to quit when you're confronted with a challenge. But, making a real and serious decision to stick with this industry will prevent you from throwing in the towel. Keep in mind that anything you've ever become good at in your life, you were first bad at. It's the same with this industry. You will be bad first before you become great. Accept that there will be a learning period where you may still be developing your skills. That's OK, as long as you don't quit.

Many studies have been done about network marketing. From these studies, there's a staggering statistic that says anyone who sticks with one company for at least 10 years, actively building and promoting their business, will have a 95% chance that they will be at the top position and earning a significant annual income. That's why it's critical that you simply decide to stay in the game.

Secondly, you have to learn how to focus. After you've picked your company, stick with it and work it until you build the residual income you need and want. Don't get sidetracked by other marketers or whatever is going on with other companies in the industry. Because a lot of network marketers have A-type personalities, a lot of them jump from company to company, or trying to build 2 or 3 different companies at the same time, getting little to no results because their focus is diluted. Stick with one company and build your income to where you want it to be.

Lastly, decide to get great at one form of marketing. Marketing is critical to your success. Without marketing you will have no leads to talk to about your business opportunity. The challenge that most people have is that they're trying to do 10 different forms of marketing and getting no results. It's better to stick with one and get great at it. For example, if you want to use videos to market, become the best at it. If you want to use social media, become awesome at it. Once you've mastered one form of marketing and are getting great results, then you can take on one more method that you can become awesome at.
