How To Stop Frustration and End Article Rip Offs

If you are an individual that is searching for good information on the internet, how frustrated are you becoming at seeing the same information by way of article rip offs being listed over and over again? How many times do you go to the first page of Google and see five to ten titles all the same? Then when you click on the content you find it's the same wording just twisted around or multiple duplicates.

Article writers, write content to inform the world on the internet that they have information, resources, products and services on their site that may be of value to the reader. Then other sites steal this information so they can bring people to their site but don't give credit to the original author.

For the article writer this is frustrating. This writer has taken the time to write good information to help build traffic to their site, and here are other sites that are using stolen content, most probably because they have been hooked into buying some automated software that provides the theft for them. You know those great sales pitches where you can make your millions while you sleep at night? Because the software is going about stealing other peoples work for you, so you can have content on your site?

Okay you may be thinking well if you are going to put your articles on article directories then they are fair game for article rip offs. In fact some article directories allow anyone to freely use these articles. Hey, I have no problem with that. If an article writer wants to put their articles open for the internet to use great. I am talking about the articles that are put on article directory sites, where the directory rules are, the articles can ONLY be used if the links are kept in tact, which gives credit to the article writer. These are the sites where the article rip offs occur.

If you don't believe me then do a search on this article title. "How To Stop Loving and Put An End To The Pain." This was an article that was posted to a reputable article directory. It was used 10 times by other sites. Some of the sites that used the article have good business ethics and kept the links in tact. Then there were several others that stole the article, or part of it and gave no credit to the author, none of the links were kept in tact.

You as a reader that is looking for information, may want to ask yourself if you want to deal with a site that has to steal content? Now for those sites that do use the articles but keep the link in tact, they are showing good business ethics. There is nothing wrong with sharing article information as long as credit is given where credit is due. The internet is worldwide and a few sites sharing the same information is good for the web surfer.

So how can a honest writer put an end to this type of shoddy practice of stealing articles and not giving credit to the author? Only by exposing the sites that are doing this. Its time that the honest internet businesses on the web were separated from the lazy sites that are out to make a quick buck off of someone else's work.

So the next time you as a searcher of information are reading an article on a site that has been listed several times in the search engine, check to see if the article shows who the real author is. You will know because somewhere in the search engine listings you will see the title of the article goes back to an article directory. If the site using the article has borrowed the article from an article directory and shows the links back to the author, then you know what? This is a site you want to do business with because they have reputable business practices.
