How To Survive Mercury Retrograde

Mercury rules communication, travel and technology so all these areas go haywire for about three weeks

. Electronic equipment can crash at this time, expect delays if you are travelling and dont be surprised if people from your past track you down. You might hear from ex-boyfriends or girlfriends and childhood classmates during Mercury retrograde.

Retrograde times are a good opportunity to look back at things that haven't been resolved. This includes relationships. More romantic reunions happen during this time than any other period, and 99.9 % of those reunions dont come to anything. Theres usually a good reason why your ex became your ex.

The positive side of Mercury retrograde is that this is a great opportunity to complete unfinished business. This is a chance for you to tie up loose ends and very often something you have been working on for a while comes to fruition at this time.

Some activities are lucky or actually improve when Mercury retrogrades. You are likely to bump into old friends that you haven't seen in years. Adopted children tend to find their birth parents during Mercury retrograde periods, or people locate their long lost siblings. Prosecutors often find clues to crimes that had previously remained unsolved for years. Although sometimes the reverse is true as there is a greater danger that police can bungle evidence during Mercury retrograde. Mail that went astray weeks or even years ago can show up during Mercury retrograde. Some things that were lost reappear.

If it's not possible to delay an important decision try to anticipate potential problems that might arise, even more so than you usually do. Don't assume that the other person is assuming the same thing that you are. Double check everything, and be prepared for surprises and delays. Stay flexible, and leave at least twice as much time for things as you think you'll need.

Be open to rethinking decisions, opinions, ideas, plans and interactions from the past that you thought were finished, as it may be time to work with these at a deeper level. Don't be surprised if you hear from someone you haven't been in contact with for a while, or if you find yourself revisiting an old situation, perhaps seeing it now with fresh eyes.

Here are a few of my latest Mercury retro stories:

I owned a rental property that I needed to rent as soon as possible as it was costing me a great deal of money to leave it vacant. The agent carried out references on the prospective tenants and found a couple who looked ideal on paper. I knew I was taking a risk by signing contracts during Mercury retrograde, but I was impatient and I wanted the place rented. The following month the rent was late, a couple of months later the place was trashed and they moved out without notice and filed for bankruptcy.

I had a parcel that needed to be picked up by a Courier Service. They promised to come by that same afternoon, but by 5pm, the parcel was still sitting on my doorstep. I rang the following morning, complaining that they hadnt picked up the parcel as promised, and they said theyd send someone out straight away. Within a half hour, a courier turned up and the man got out and was looking down at the parcel with a very puzzled look on his face. I ran downstairs to see what was up and he said: Were Courierpost and our stickers are yellow, you need NZ Couriers as theirs are red. Id called and reprimanded the wrong Courier company!

I got up early to take a couple of parcels to the post office. The cashier is asking me for $25.75, Im scrabbling around in my purse for the money when I realise I changed handbags last night and forgot to transfer my credit cards and cash to the new bag!

Enjoy Mercury Retrograde!
