How To Treat Common Foot Conditions With Comfort Shoes

There are endless types of shoes and styles out there but unfortunately

, many designer shoes are uncomfortable, if not even dangerous. Many still believe that buying comfort shoes means having to give up style and fashion. This is no longer true. These days you can really find and kind of orthopedic shoes that have a modern and fashionable design.

When choosing comfort shoes you should first determine the reason or the problem you might be suffering from. So before picking your orthopedic shoes take a look at this list of common foot problems and the corresponding products:

1.Arch Pain or Plantars Fasciitis is a common condition of inflammation or burning sensation at the arch of your foot, the bottom surface of the foot, from around the heel to the toes. The arch is the main part of the body that absorbs all the force and shock of standing and walking. It also returns that energy to the body so any muscle strain, poor stature or sprains can cause arch pain. Luckily, arch pain can be treated by taking simple steps, such as avoiding high-heels, and by using arch supports.

2.Bunions are really one of the most common foot problems and usually caused by poor fitting shoes and uncomfortable footwear. Symptoms include a bony bump on the side of the foot, swelling, redness and pain. Treatment and relief include wearing wide shoes and comfort shoes, switching high hills to orthopedic shoes, applying over the counter bunion pads or shields and applying moisturizer to reduce thickness.

3.Hammertoe is a deformity that is caused by wearing tight shoes as toes are bent to the side and can cause pain. Treatment includes choosing the right comfort and orthopedic shoes, applying cream to keep the skin soft or going through a surgical procedure.

4.Heel pain might be an indicator of poor foot function, usually due to excessive load on the foot resulting from weight increase or excessive sport activity. Usually felt in the morning, this condition can be very disturbing and painful. While treating heel pain one should avoid any unnecessary stress on the area and temporary relief includes icing and over the counter medication. Long term treatment includes soft silicone heel products which reduce the pain and function as shock absorbents.

The foot is the foundation of our body and we have to treat it accordingly. Any foot should be addressed immediately and over all, it is recommended to choose only orthopedic shoes, comfort shoes or orthotic sandals to accompany your daily life. Remember that any symptom has a cause and a treatment and all it takes is a little research in order to give your soles a lot of love.
