With the e-mail addresses you have the opportunity to maintain contact and send valid offers, special discounts and announcements, to those who sign up for your newsletter. This is an effective way to drive traffic to your site. The goal of your monthly newsletters is to present you as the go-to expert, but don't forget to interact with your subscribers. Share your life with them, because you whole purpose is to build relationships and create a positive experience. Your community wants to know that you are someone that they can trust. You may be wondering where you would capture people's name and e-mail addresses. If you don't already have a website with a capture/squeeze page you can have this integrated into your blog. In my opinion, WordPress is a relatively easy and user-friendly blog site.

Your blog will become your hub, so make it your main content sharing site. Write a condense version of your articles, announce a press release or video (make sure to include your links). As well, you can add your twitter updates, so you loyal fans and/or customers can always know what you are up to. Don't shy away from being real. When you provide people the opportunity to connect with you or your experiences the higher the chance of you gaining their trust and them finding value in what you have to offer.

Although, my intent was to remind you about how effective and valuable e-mail marketing is, don't forget to use other methods that are available.Articles and videos are get resources to utilize as well. Of course, don't forget twitter, but don't be a spammer. Remember to always add value. Again, your main focus should be to build relationships first and business second. If you find content from someone else that is interesting, tell other people. The getting is in the giving. Share your triumphs and failures as well. People like to know that they are connecting with real people.

Now, that you are aware of e-mail marketing, utilize it. Don't forget to give people the option to unsubscribe to your newsletter. This will also help them be more confident in subscribing because they know that they can opt out at anytime.
