How To Use Safelist Advertising

The goal of any online marketer should be to build a list

. In order to achieve this goal you need to drive traffic to a squeeze page with your opt in form attached. There are lots of different places you can get traffic from and today I'm going to talk about safe lists.

Safe lists are sites you can join for free, though most of them have upgraded offers. Once you are a member you will receive emails from other members. Clicking the links in these emails earns you credits. You then use these credits to send your own ads to other members. They work kind of like a traffic exchange in that you view other peoples ads so they will view yours.

There are a couple of tips I'm going to give you that will make your advertising more effective and easier to keep track of.

-First it is important to use the best and most active safe lists on the net. There are hundreds of these sites on the internet and I'm sure you have seen lots of them being advertised, however you should really only bother with the most effective ones. -Next it is important to note that you will receive a lot of emails every day from each list you join so it is critical that you stay organized. The best thing to do is open up 2 different gmail accounts, one for your contact emails the other for you list emails. Gmail is really handy because you can create a different filter for each list you join. Once the filters are set up all the emails you get from a particular safe list are sent to their specific filter.

-Each safe list lets you send out your ad at set intervals, either once a day or once every 3 days ect.. You will want to be able to keep track of when your next mailing is available and the easiest way of doing this is to use an online calendar. Again I turn to Google. Google calendar is free to use and the best part about it is the able to create an event that can be repeated. For example lets say you join a list that lets you mail every 3 days. You log into your Google calendar and create an event with the name of the safe list, then you set the event to repeat every 3 days. This way you just need to check the calendar to know when your next mailing is available instead of logging into each one everyday.

-One last thing you may want to do is keep track of the number of credits you have available at each safe list. Set up a spreadsheet with the names of the lists as well as the number of credits you can spend on each mailing and the number of credits you have available. This way you will know which safe lists you will need to get credits for before you go to send out your next add.

By following these steps you will be able to make your safe list advertising more effective and much easier to handle. I have heard people say that safe list advertising doesn't work but if that is not true then why do so many people still use it? Safe lists are still a great way to get your splash page in front of lots of potential customers and by following a simple plan you will not get so overwhelmed.
