How To Wear Studded Belts
This year, if there is one fashion trend that is exploding everywhere
, it has to be basically anything with studs. From bags to boots, it seems that any notable fashion designers are using the metal stud to 'bling' up their merchandise. Personally, I'm ecstatic to see this trend come back, because that means that I can pull put my old studded belts. Back in my high school days, I use to love wearing those studded belts. I would wear them with my standard teenage uniform, jeans and a tee for years. This is probably why I'm glad to take my old studded belts out of obscurity, but this time I'll probably use them with more diversity this time around. There are tons of ways to wear studded belts, so if you are not sure how to incorporate them into your already existing wardrobe, then stick with me and I'll give you some tips to wear studded belts.
The Rocker
When I was a teen, the rocker kids were the ones that usually wore those spiky silver studded belts on a regular basis. Although I was never a punk rocker, I always admired their fearless and edgy style. Belts like the Tory Burch Studded Belt for $225 and the Burton belt for $30 are the perfect examples of hardcore studded belts that will definitely pull off the rocker look. These classic spiky studded belts would look great with a nice pair of tight black skinny jeans, a worn out tee of your favorite rock band and a hot motorcycle leather jacket. Just throw it all together with a pair of Docs and you got the ultimate punk rock look.
The Girly Girl
These days studded belts can be virtually incorporated to any outfit seamlessly and effortlessly. But a trend that many women are doing right now is mixing this rather heavy duty accessory with girly pieces of clothing. Putting on a modern yet chic belt like the Diesel Series-Co Belt for $320 with something more delicate, like a light and dainty chiffon dress is an awesome way to play between soft and hard elements.
The Working Girl
Believe it or not, you can also incorporate studded belts into your work wardrobe. Nowadays, many women take the liberty to be more creative and daring with their workplace attire. When using a studded belt, go with a thin belt. For example, the Banana Republic Skinny Studded Belt for $40 is a great pick. Using a belt like this is discrete enough to make a work outfit look professional, but a hip edge. Wear it with a simple pencil skirt to boost up your boring old suit. It will not only create some texture to your outfit, but it will add a great deal of visual interest.
Studded belts definitely have a place in fashion today. It doesn't matter what personal style is or what event you wear them at, you can basically wear this fab accessory anywhere. We all know studs are hot right now, so why not take part in this fad by getting your very own studded belt? I know I will.
