How To Win A Mobile Broadband Poll

Every few months in the UK YouGov run a poll to find the best mobile broadband provider

. The latest one concluded that Three currently offers the best mobile broadband service around, beating nearest competitors Orange and Vodafone but what makes a good mobile broadband provider?

Increased popularity of video streaming and downloading is putting massive strain on the networks with a small percentage accounting for around 80 percent of the traffic, leaving lighter users fighting for bandwidth and at times even struggling to connect.

The survey questioned over 2000 mobile internet users on 12 different aspects of their broadband service, and Three came top in 10 of the 12 categories including Fastest Connection Speeds, Reliability, Billing, Overall Quality of Service, Best Value for Money, Ease of Use and User Satisfaction.

The winner of the mobile broadband deals poll have inevitably invested a lot of time and money in the last few years improving its network coverage, with the company now boasting 95 percent coverage across the UK.

Improving their own network coverage and having some of the cheapest packages around has helped the winners to gain 35 percent of the market share.

Yet despite topping the poll this could be considered as a hollow victory as it was just a few weeks prior that another YouGov poll concluded that around two thirds of mobile broadband customers are unhappy with the level of service and connection of their broadband deals in general.

The results of the YouGov poll is undoubtedly a great boost for Three but it might only be a silver lining on what essentially is a large gray cloud hanging over mobile broadband.

A previous YouGov Survey found that some of the major complaints are slow speeds which 67 percent mentioned, whilst another 49 percent complained of poor network coverage.

More complaints include 45 percent of those asked not being able to connect to the network when they wanted and another 49 percent complained of poor network coverage whilst surfing on the move.

Swish new advertising campaign providers suggests that further improvements are being made to improve mobile networks and coming top in the YouGov survey certainly shows which providers are leading the way in the mobile broadband market.

More low-keys offers such as offering a Samsung R530 review the companies' priorities.

Yet if mobile broadband is to survive then further improvements need to be made, and at the moment Three is leading heading in the right direction, but if its network can't keep up with users surfing habits then people will start to trade their dongles in for smart phones in the future.
