How Vegas Slammed Its Garage Doors On Us

Have you ever tried fixing a garage door opener in Las Vegas

? It might sound simple to you but Im telling you right now that it can become really complicated, especially and particularly because you are in Las Vegas. Normally, one would just call up any company that does garage door repair in Henderson or wherever. But no, not my brother, he had to do things the hardest and most uncomfortable way possible.

Let me start from the beginning. A couple of friends and I went to go visit my brother in Las Vegas for his graduation from college. Everyone was excited to see him as the last time he visited was almost a year ago. Also, like everybody else, we couldnt wait to go have some fun and get drunk at crazy parties in Vegas!

Once we got there, we didnt waste any time and got the festivities going. We partied day in and day out, hitting the casinos and wreaked havoc all around the strip. Its a miracle none of us ended up in jail or died of alcohol poisoning.

At the end of one drunken night out, we were totally inebriated to the point that we were practically physically handicapped not to mention mentally retarded and like a bunch of fools drove the car to get to my brothers apartment. As you can probably imagine, we didnt do very well. Suffice it to say that we did get home in one piece except that my brothers garage doors in Henderson were in pieces. Apparently, my friend on the wheel decided to doze off at the last second so we plowed through the driveway, smashing up both the car and the garage door. Needless to say, we were in a lot of trouble.

We had to fix the garage but we didnt have lots of money left in our pockets as we have burned away almost everything in the bars and casinos. Naturally, the genius decision of fixing it ourselves entered our hangover fuelled argument. But first, we had to know where to find some automatic garage door openers in Las Vegas. For that matter, we also had to find anyone who could help us repair our garage doors in Las Vegas. So with that, we set out to do our repairs.

We found where to get the automatic door opener easily enough but it was really expensive. The price was way higher than we expected and none of us could afford it, not to mention we also had to shell out some cash for the garage door as well. So another genius idea came to mind: hit the casino, hopefully win big and go home happy. The only other option would be to concede defeat and call mom and dad to bail us out. Feeling lucky (read: desperate), we tried it out but unfortunately, the timeless maxim was etched into our brains: the house always, always wins. So there it ends, it is official: Vegas had its doors slammed shut on us. With our heads hung low, and partly because we were still hung-over, we had to go home with our tails between our legs and seek help from mom and dad.
