For people over the age of 30, the Tier 1 Highly Skilled visa is one of the UK working visas that you may wish to apply for. This visa allows you to stay for up to two years in the UK, and you don't need to have a job secured or a sponsor before you arrive. This visa may also be extended for another three years if you decide to stay and continue to support yourself.

There are other UK working visas available for people who have dependents or ancestors in the UK, or who wish to only go to school. For all working visas, there is a requirement to have funds in your name secured in a bank account for at least three months prior to your application. You will also need to prove your English competency, and must be a passport holder from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, or Monaco. But this is a fantastic way to travel and work in the UK while gaining valuable travel experience.
