A classic example of this is the belief that you have to be wealthy for a beautiful woman to be interested in you.

2. Get used to walking up to women and starting conversations, even if they are not the kind of woman you would want to date.

The more experience that you can gather in terms of walking up and starting conversations with women, the better. You don't always have to wait for the "perfect" one, you can start approaching any women that you see, and use that to build up your experience. Just getting into the act will make it a lot easier when you DO find the perfect woman that you want to approach and start dating.

3. Understand that beautiful women are used to worn out lines and openers.

Why do you need to understand this? Because most beautiful women have heard these lines and openers so often, they basically become immune to them. And it makes you seem like just another guy who wants to get lucky, and that is not going to make her feel the urge to want to date you.
