How to Choose a Niche

"How do I choose a niche," was my question several months ago when I became convinced that affiliate marketing was a viable way to make money online. I researched for several months before I realized that affiliate marketing was the way to go if I was going to have a money-making, online business.

So, I began to think, "okay, I really like this affiliate marketing idea, but what can I create a website about?" What niche could I choose? Below are the things I learned about how to choose a niche for creating an affiliate marketing website:

What do you love? The most popular advice is to look at what do you love. In other words, what are you passionate about? This would probably be something like a hobby. If you have a hobby you enjoy, you will not get bored with writing about this topic.

What do you have expertise in? The second choice is to choose a topic you are knowledgeable about. This could be something you have professional experience and expertise in.

What would you like to learn about? Another great choice is to pick a topic that you are interested in learning about. This could be a new hobby or lifestyle. This is really a great way to pick a niche because you will be researching the topic yourself and know what type of information you are looking for. Then you can share the things you have learned with others on your own website.

After you determine your niche, you are well on your way to establishing your own business through your affiliate marketing website.

Your next step is keyword and market research. You will need to research to find out if there is interest in that niche, and whether there is a buying market.

Remember, creating your website is just part of the equation in affiliate marketing. You MUST also know how to create a website that drives traffic to you!

Don't let anyone steal your dream! Choose your niche, take ACTION, and you will be successful.

One last thought: Just think what it would be like to get up every day and be able to do something you ENJOY and make MONEY at the same time. Awesome thought, huh!!!!
