How to Completely Uninstall Windows Media Player 11
Windows Media Player is built-in software which is installed as a Windows component
along with Windows operating systems such as Windows ME, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. It doesn't like other software that installed on your PC having an Uninstall option in their program menu, so you can't
easily delete Windows Media Player 11. Even if you can uninstall Media Player 11 software through Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, this Player cannot be removed entirely.
Click Start > Control Panel
Click "Add or Remove Programs" under the category view
Click Remove a program (selected by default) and then at the top of the screen, locate and check the "Show Updates" box. This displays the software updates for the programs currently installed on your computer.
In the Windows Updates sections, click Windows Media Player 11, and then click Change/Remove. This is a larger file and may take several minutes to complete.
If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.
Go back the Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.
Check the "Show Updates" box again and find Windows Media Format 11 runtime in the Windows Updates section
Click Windows Media Format 11 Runtime and then click Change/Remove.
If prompted, restart your computer, and then log on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.
Go back the Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Remove a program.
Click Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks Feature Pack 1.0 and then click Change/Remove.
