If you have hundreds of pages, you should avoid putting them together so that it looks like an endless list of navigation links. To avoid this problem, you can group together links to related pages. It is best that you don't use flash or javascript to create the navigation. Javascript and flash can significantly slow down the user navigation. You should avoid relying entirely on navigation that is based on drop down menus, flash or animations. If you want to use flash or javascript, you should also include another text based navigation.

Breadcrumb navigation refers to a row of navigation links to the internal pages on top or below the page. The breadcrumb navigation allows users to easily navigate to the different section of the site. Most of the breadcrumb navigations contain links to the homepage as first.
