How to Design Your Own Embroidered Ed Hardy Hat or Shirt

Recently, I have designed my own embroidered ed hardy shirt, I like it very much. So I would like to share my experience with you all.

Most companies allow you to pick from several shirt designs and colors before embroidering a design on them.

Personalized hats and shirts for companies, social clubs or schools can be a great gift idea or uniform piece. These shirts and hats can look more professional if you decide to have your logo, group name or slogan embroidered on the clothing instead of just screen-printed. Several websites allow you to design your own hat or shirt.

Graphic design software or scanner

Design an embroidered hat or shirt

Step 1

Design the logo or image you want embroidered on the hat or shirt. This can be your company logo or a symbol that represents a group. Some custom embroidery websites allow you to pick from a selected group of art they have on file if you don't have your own design.

Step 2

Create an electronic file of the logo or image that you want embroidered on the shirt. You can do this by either drawing the design by hand and scanning a copy of the image with a scanner or designing it with graphic design software. The image will be more clear if you use graphic design software. Save the file as an image file and have it readily accessible on your computer.

Step 3

Go to a website that offers shirt and hat embroidery. There are several websites that do this, such as corporatecasuals.com, zazzle.com, bluecotton.com, embroideredshirts.com, or any site that you find after searching for "custom embroidered shirts" in a search engine.

Step 4

Choose what you want to be embroidered. Most websites offer hats in several colors and styles and T-shirts, polo shirts and oxford shirts in various colors. Select the number of shirts you need and the sizes you need.

Step 5

Navigate the website until you see an option that allows for embroidering your own design. There will be an option listed to upload your own image file. Select this option and attach the image file you previously made with your logo.

Step 6

Add words to your design, such as a company name or slogan. You may also want to add your name or the person's name that you are making the shirt or hat for.
