An article is written to provide information. Article marketing is about marketing your service with the help of articles. It has become the most common way of marketing a website. But in this article, I explained how to do market your articles effectively using few new techniques.
The most common way:
Writing an article and submitting to directories was an effective method in the early 2000's as article directories were something new. But there are hundreds of directories now and not all these sites guarantee traffic. These days, they are only used as a source of backlinks.

Make a list of blogs that has a subscriber base of 500 - 1000. Send them a mail that you can provide highly valuable content like case studies etc to their subscribers. All they have to do is just include a link to your site.
Normally, 60% of the people I send mails, accept my offer. They accept because they always look for ways to provide value to their subscribers. You can find these blog owners in forums.
Another set of people who constantly look for good articles is membership site owners. Join few membership sites and keep posting your articles in their forums. If you do it regularly, they can even provide a permanent banner on their site to your blog. Just imagine how effective this method is.
c. Integration marketing: Once you provide valuable info to their subscribers, you can request the blog owner to place a permanent link to your blog in their "Thank you" page.
This strategy alone sends me a minimum of 500 subscribers every month.
d. Convert into different forms:

Convert the same article into video and podcasts and submit them to different directories.
