A Korean company, known as Playmass has announced the launch of an interesting new gadget for your iPhone 3GS known as iSeeU, this is an accessory that clips on your iPhone and unfolds a set of mirrors that virtually transform your device's rear-facing camera into a front-facing one. The best thing about iSeeU is that you can shoot using a variety of angles without having to move the phone in all directions.

The idea behind iSeeU is pretty simple: Mount a mirror on your cell phone, and you'll be able to film yourself during a call with a rear-facing camera - amazingly this is quickly climbing the hot gadgets list.

iSeeU claims to be compatible with Fring, Tango and other video calling apps for the iPhone.

The iPhone 3GS isn't compatible with Facetime though due to limitations imposed by Apple iOS. Some say It's possible using a Cydia app - that's only for jailbroken iPhones which will allow Facetime to function through a 3GS' backwards-facing cam - iSeeU owners will have to rely on third-party video conferencing software like the ones mentioned above.

Press the circular button on the carry case to eject the accessory.

Remove the protective film from both mirrors.

Clip the accessory onto your iPhone 3GS, ensuring the larger mirror on the right is correctly facing you as illustrated.

Download Fring, Tango or another video calling app for the iPhone, as preferred.
