1. Look for in-store deals.
Many office supply and electronics stores that carry printers and printer accessories offer deals and sales after major holidays. Sometimes you can get discounted toner or free toner with the purchase of another item.
2. Look for coupons.
Check magazines and newspapers for coupons to local office stores. Some stores offer a percentage off your whole purchase which could be used toward toner cartridges.
3. Look online.
Many stores do deals and offers on their Web sites that are not available in store. Try the clearance or sales section of Web pages. You can also look on discount and whole sale Web sites for multi-buy deals that you won't usually find in stores. Avoid Web sites like Ebay because it's a lot easier to be scammed with a faulty product. Make sure that you research whatever company you do buy from to make sure it's legitimate and has a good reputation.
4. Purchase cartridges that come with money-off coupons or other offers. Some come with rebates that you can mail in to the company to get a cheque, while others sometimes come with coupons you can use against your next purchase in store.
There are other things you can do to save buying ink so often. When you are printing documents, use the "draft" setting to save ink, and if you are running low on black ink start printing documents in a dark blue or dark green (as long as they aren't official papers) until the colour runs out as well. This way you don't replace a cartridge until you need to.
