1. Check the cables and make sure that they are securely in place and connected properly. If they are loose in any way it will cause the console to not function properly.

2. Turn your console off. Hold the power button for about ten seconds before switching back on. If your screen has been freezing this should correct the problem.

3. If your machine is displaying a disk error, then eject it and take a look at it, is it damaged and scratched or dirty. Try cleaning the disk with a dry clean cloth.

4. If the screen is blank then you may have issues with your video settings. Make sure that the settings are correctly configured and match the type of TV you are using. Another way is to hold down the power button for approximately five seconds as this should restart the console in the original video settings.
