For this you need to disable third party services and programs with the help of system configuration tool. To do this go to "Start" menu and type "msconfig" in the run option and switch to startup tab and get rid of all entries there. Make sure you keep the system security installed if you want by keeping it checked. Disable those services and restart your PC once it is done.

Solution 5: The issue related to Windows Explorer could also be due to missing or corrupt files. To identify corrupt files follow these troubleshooting steps.

Click on "Start "menu and then type "cmd" in the search option. You will find cmd.exe in the results. Now "Run" as administrator. Here you will be asked for the administrator passwords, then click on continue after that. When the command prompt comes in, type sfc/scannow and then ht on "Enter"

Even after trying all these the problem still exists then you can try this last option. Go to "Start" menu and follow up by clicking on "organize". Here you will see drop down pop up menu. There you will find a folder option at the right hand upper corner. Click on view there and select always show icons, never thumbnails'. This will help you hopefully!
