As your combat levels progress, you may kill larger monsters and thus receive far better drops.

Kill the men and women in Lumbridge. You may use either the shortbow or weapon. The men and women drop bones, bronze bolts, runes, armor and coins. When you are a member, they also drop herbs. The herbs are worth as much as 6k gp.
