How to Get Soft Skin That Looks and Feels Great
How to Get Soft Skin That Looks and Feels Great
Let me ask you this, do you find your skin isn't as soft as you'd like it to be? Do you wonder how to get soft skin and banish rough patches?
If you've already tried a variety of hand and body lotions but not been happy with the results, you might need to go a little deeper. It's a shocking realization but a lot of mainstream products have ingredients that can strip your skin of essential oils and cause it to dry out and become rough over time.
One of those ingredients is sodium laureth sulfates. This is a harsh ingredient used in some cleansers--and to clean the floors at the grocery store. Skip skincare with those ingredients and go for something healthier for your skin and body.
You can get soft skin with some simple home remedies.
2 Simple Soft Skin Tips
1Exfoliate regularly. Your skin cells are constantly renewing themselves and your skin needs to slough off dead skin so the new, younger and softer skin can emerge. Help it out by including an exfoliate in your skincare regimen.
For your face you want to keep it very gentle, harsh exfoliates can tear your pores and make them look larger than they need appear. Experts say 2-3 times a week is enough for your more delicate facial tissue.
For your body you can make your own scrub.
Mix olive oil and brown sugar in a plastic dish (safe for shower time) add a few drops of vanilla and you'll have a fabulous smelling all natural brown sugar and vanilla scrub. Use it on your rough elbows and heels to smooth rough skin. You can use it all over your body for luscious soft skin. (Just don't use it on your face, the sugar is too rough and the olive oil may be too much).
2The other thing is to moisturize regularly with products that help regulate your body oils locking moisture in. Jojoba and olive oils are both high quality ingredients that can make your skin feel soft. They work with your natural body oils to balance your moisture levels so even if you have oily skin, you can use them.
If you've ever used either oil directly on your body, you know it can work magic on dry areas like heels and cuticles.
Why not include them in your body lotion?
There's another ingredient I love for soft skin and that's a special type of honey from New Zealand. Active Manuka Honey is clinically proven to increase your collagen cells which helps keep your skin looking young. It also heals skin suffering from psoriasis and eczema. Plus, rejuvenates your cells and makes your skin soft.
As you can see, how to get soft skin is all about how you care for it and the ingredients you use. Learn more about these effective ingredients at my website.
