How to Get Website Traffic Through Transfer of Authority

I, know, I know your first thought is what in the world is he talking about. Well, let me explain. In a nutshell, transfer of authority is similar to being guilty by association, only in a good way. It's the old theory of hanging with the right people and letting some of that influence rub off on you. One of my all time favorite stories is of the donkey who was entered into the Kentucky derby. The owner knew that he he had no chance of winning, he just entered him for the association with the thorough bred horses.

So here we go again. You can increase your website traffic just by associating yourself with someone who already has a lot of traffic and allowing the authority that they already have to be transferred to you.

I know you are saying to your self (sarcastically), yea, sure Jeff I will just go up to Bill Gates and have him to say that he is my friend and get tons of traffic. Actually it is not much harder than that. Generally, if you are in some type of MLM company there is someone in your up line who people love, respect and will follow. 10 times out of 10, you will be able to find someone who will be willing to give you an interview that you can record and use to attract visitors to your website. Not only does this interview benefit you, it benefits them also. It gets more publicity for them and a lot of time, they will be willing to help you distribute the interview. Just be sure that you don't forget to include links back to a squeeze page where you can capture lead information.

Guest Blogging This one, like many are just what the name suggest. There are many high traffic blogs who are looking for quality writers with quality content. Find one of these sites and write an informative, entertaining post and get traffic from their site.

Forum marketing - There are many forums, such as Linked In, the Warrior Forum and the Home business network, just to name a few where you can write a post and get visitors and comments on your post.

Solo Ads Solo Ads can get expensive, but there are also many newsletter etc, with massive mailing lists where you can buy a solo ads. Your ads can be seen by thousands and you have the floor to yourself with solo ads.

Blog Carnivals Blog carnivals are blogs where again, you submit a link to a post on your site and have it included on what amounts to someone else's newsletter. The carnivals come in all kinds of flavor, so if you have a business article, you need to be matched up with a business carnival.

Commenting on Face Book Believe it or not, you can get a lot of traffic this way. You comment on someone's post and if they do not know you very well, they get curious. They look at your profile and a lot of the time, they click through to your website. This is really the type of interaction that we are seeking, because in some cases it will be the beginning of a relationship and not just one isolated post.
