How to Get a USA Jobs with the CIA or the FBI

The USA jobs with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are highly competitive

. The fact is that the CIA and FBI each receive as many as 15,000 resumes each month for a limited number of these USA jobs. Therefore, competition for one of these USA jobs is keen.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

Make sure that you meet all of the eligibility requirements. You can't have used drugs that are illegal in the past 12 months and you must undergo polygraphs and background checks. If you have a criminal history, it isn't starting the lengthy job process with the CIA.

Visit the CIA's career website and click on View all Jobs. A display of the current USA jobs that are open will be seen. You need to submit your resume for a specific job position. Make sure that you meet all of the job requirements.

Click on Submit resume online at the end of the job description. The website will then prompt you to answer several personal questions about your social security number and your citizenship. There will be a place where you need to provide information on your military or overseas experience, languages, work history, and educational background. Click on I agree and submit the form.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

First, you should determine if you are eligible for employment with the FBI. You will not be considered for employment if you have neglected to register for the Selective Service if you are a male or failed a drug test, defaulted on a student loan that was provided by the government, used any illegal and drugs, except marijuana in the past 3 years, or been convicted of a felony within the past 10 years.

Go to USAjobs.gov to search for open positions with the FBI.

First, click on Search jobs and then click on agency search. In the agency name field, enter FBI and then choose your desired location prior to clicking on Search. If you find a job that interests you, click on Apply Now.

Submit the resume for the job announcement by following the prompts after you have completed the resume. Then click the final Submit button.
