First, go to the Game Marketplace, and then click "Join Xbox Live". A box will pop up saying that you tell you will need to exit any ongoing games. Select "Yes", directing you to their main page. Then, click the "Sign Me Up" button. You will be told that there had been an incomplete sign up, and then you are asked if you want to pick up where you left off or discard the session to begin again. Click "Yes".

You will next be led to your account page. There, you will need to fill in your e-mail address that you will use to manage your account. You will next be presented with Gold Subscription Plans, but click "I don't want a Gold membership". You will then be told that you are given 1 month of free membership trial. Click "Continue". You will see your account information again, including your phone number you will need to fake. Click "Done" and then "Next", that leads you to the contact preferences page. Do not tick any options but click "Continue". The following will only be your game preferences, where you should choose accordingly. Then click "Continue" at the free membership page. After that, fill in your gamer tag or nickname. Once done, your free Xbox Live free membership will be created.
