* Stay focused on your task at hand, don't be distracted by others.
* Use your dominant hand whenever using a knife.
* Don't use a knife to cut electrical wires, use the correct tool for any job.
* Keep your knives sheathed or folded when carrying or not in use. Leather sheaths are not the best for storing knives for a long period of time, as the chemicals used in tanning them are corrosive for certain blade types.
* If you should happen to cut yourself, get first aid immediately.
Knives are a great tool when used properly. They can be used for a multitude of projects, in the kitchen, the garage, outdoors when camping, hunting and fishing.
