It has been hammered into our heads everywhere we turn that "the money is in the list". Without a list, there will be NO successful online business. Although this is typically the case, there are still plenty of people who are having huge success with NO website and NO list. I am going to share with you how to have success in affiliate marketing with no website.

Affiliate marketing consists of choosing a product to promote, become an affiliate for that merchant, start promoting the product, send targeted traffic to the merchant's site and watch the commissions roll in every time someone clicks on your link and purchases the product from you.

There are literally thousands of products to choose from and a lot of competition as well. So how can you have success in affiliate marketing with no website?

The best way to get started is with article marketing. Write about the benefits your product offers. Do not outwardly sell your product. Your article can be from 300 to 500 words and then provide the link to the merchant's site in your resource box. Article marketing is very effective.

Create a blog solely dedicated to your product. You can set up a free blog at Blogger.com or host your own WordPress blog which is recommended. You want to be able to have control of your own content. Your blog posts should be informative and provide valuable information about what your product offers. You can have links and images to your product on your blog. People can then comment about your content which will eventually start ranking your site in the search engines over time. You can also put an opt-in box on your blog and start building your own list if you prefer.

Visit forums that are related to your product and just comment on what other people are saying. This is a great place where people go to ask questions when they are having problems or looking for information that is helpful. You want to provide the solution to their problem and then add your link in your signature. Again, do not outwardly promote your product.

Create a Squidoo or Hubpage and write a review of your product. People are always interested in learning the benefits your product offers and be sure to give them the good as well as the bad. People appreciate honestly and hyping a product is too transparent. Nothing is ever perfect and there will be problems with every product. But knowing that upfront will help others decide to purchase from you.
