It is often said that if you know the why of holistic life, you will always know the how. Now that most of us are aware about the importance of holistic lifestyle, the obvious next question is how to live a holistic life? It is simple if done in steps against doing it as a course which becomes monotonous after a certain point of time.
Diet
Holistic lifestyle is nothing but a healthy lifestyle. You are what you consume; hence a holistic lifestyle starts from your diet. Your diet is connected to your health directly so ensure a proper diet after regular intervals. Drink a good quantity of water (around 8 glasses of water per day).
Exercise
Adjust a good exercise regime on a daily basis. Exercise works best with a good diet. Set aside some time everyday for regular exercise. Making exercise a habit is fine but you should choose an exercise regime which you enjoy rather than do it just for the heck of doing. Adding morning or evening walks to your exercise regime is also a good idea as you get an opportunity to meet nature. You can skip one day a week to rejuvenate and enjoy an occasional extended siesta.
Avoid Negativity Via a Stress Free Life
Negativity is what pulls you down. Stress increases negativity as you start getting defensive and justify your actions. Avoid stress with a controlled lifestyle. Talk with your loved ones and plan out stress decreasing plans. Always remember - taking stress is a choice.
Sleep
Sleep and stress are interrelated. Lack of sleep causes irritation and can increase stress. Ensure at least 7 hour nonstop sleep during nights. Take a warm bath or listen to slow soothing music before you go to bed. A head massage also gives positive results. A good sleep also has a positive effect on your looks.
Attitude
You might have heard the famous song be happy for a change. Try having a positive attitude. Miracles and positive attitude are directly proportional. Use your holistic approach/attitude in your thinking, doing and living.
Last but not the least; holistic life is not a one day miracle, so it requires a certain amount of belief and patience.
