How to Maintain Marketing Momentum

Now that you've implemented some of the marketing strategies I shared in the article

"Marketing Strategies You Can Implement Today", you want to leverage your efforts by ensuring that you keep the momentum going so that you maximize your results.

Keeping the momentum going is important for your own energy as well as key to staying on your market's radar. Consumers today hear thousands and thousands of marketing messages so the secret to a successful marketing campaign is consistency. It generally takes more than one email message for potential customers to sit up and take notice (a common marketing "rule of thumb" is that prospects need to hear your message at least 7 times before they will buy). So, you want to keep doing what you are doing on a consistent basis.

How do you do that? Stick with the basics. For example, follow-up with all prospects who are interested or have questions about your offer. Even if they don't buy now, they may be ready the next time you offer your program. To keep it simple and consistent, you'll want to create procedures/systems for your marketing and follow-up.

For example: Maybe you will create a procedure where you follow up with prospects three days after your first contact. This way, you know you will call or email someone whom you have spoken to in three days. You can put it in your calendar and not have to spend time or energy wondering what to do.

Much of your follow up can also be automated to save you time. For example, perhaps you create an email and have it automatically sent out one week after someone subscribes to your e-zine.

These follow up procedures are a perfect opportunity to let people know about your other offers that you think they will enjoy. You can also create special offers for existing and past clients/customers. For example: maybe you will offer current clients free admission or a reduced price on another program.

The key is to be consistent with your ongoing contact with prospects. Otherwise, attracting folks through your marketing may be a waste of your time. Also, when you are seeing the results you want in your marketing as a result of your follow up, you feel far more inspired to get out there and market!

To make this all work, you must:

1) choose marketing activities that you enjoy

2) be consistent, and

3) proudly share your brilliance!

To Get Started Set Some Marketing Goals:

In order to make your marketing more effective, create an overall plan for where you want your business to go. Ask yourself:

How many hours a week do you want to work?

What is the fee you want to charge for your product/service?

How much money do you want to earn from this program?

What other aspects of your lifestyle are important to you?

FINAL NOTE: PUT EVERYTHING YOU ARE COMMITTING TO IN YOUR CALENDAR...BECAUSE THE PLAN ONLY WORKS WHEN YOU WORK IT!!!
