How to Manage the Voice Changes for the Boys?
The children do change their voices at some point. Their voices changes to the voice of the woman or a man according to their gender. This fact has not been adequately explained by the music teachers and they just relate it to the puberty period.
In fact this mutation of sound is due to the changes in the vocal chords. This process is more prominent in boys and that is why the voices changes in boys are more prominent. The girls have lesser prominent changes because their glands only lengthen one sixth of their original childhood size. What actually happens during these changes is simple to understand. The Adam's apple increases and this brings the changes in voice.
You would have seen the teenage boys shout loudly occasionally without even intending or knowing it. This is due to the changes which they are going through. There chords are growing quickly and this makes it difficult for these teenage boys to handle it. This is the time when their voices change and it start moving from a childish voice to a manly voice.
The teenagers going through these changes find it difficult at times to cope with their surrounding human beings. The girls will be making fun of their voice related changes and will be telling them jokes about that. These moments can be more than uncomfortable and can result in serious problems with the boy facing them.
The part needs to be played by parents during these changes. The parents will have to come up with the solution of the problem for the boys. They have to explain the process the boy is going through. They will also have to show him how natural it is. You can demonstrate the entire process of voice changes to your boy with the help of a musical instrument that has strings. You will be pressing certain chords which will produce a sound much lesser than the pressing along with the entire chord.
You will also have to tell your son a few tricks to avoid the embarrassment that he might face. If he will follow what you are saying to him, then he will not be facing anymore jokes from his fellow friends. He will have to avoid shouting in the public. Tell him to speak slowly and with a lower tone when in public. With time this will become his habit and he will not have an issue with this thing anymore.
