How to Optimize Computer Performance

First, you can shut down the function of "Automatically synchronizing with an Internet time server".

Click "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Date, Time, Language and regional Options" > "Time and Date" > "Internet Time", and cross out "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server".

Second, you can turn off the "Automatic Updates", "System Restore", and function of "Automatic Error Reporting" and "Visual Effects".

a. Right-click "My Computer", and click "Properties" to open "System Properties". Click "Automatic Updates" and choose "Turn off Automatic Updates".

b. In the same windows of "System Properties", click "System Restore" and choose "Turn off System Restore".

c. In this window, click "Advanced"> "Error Reporting" to choose "Disable error reporting".

d. In the window, click "Advanced" > "Settings" in the "Performance" bar, in the "Visual Effects", turn off the special appearance settings which can save a lot of memory.

Third, you can clean up the clipboard.

Since clipboard is just a temporary region in the system, it is useful to clean up the clipboard in order to maximize the system.

Click "Start", point to "Programs" > "Accessories" > "System Tools" and click "Clipboard Viewer" so as to open the windows. Then, choose "Edit", click "Delete" order and choose "OK" in the dialog box. By doing this, you can release the memory in the clipboard.
