How to Play Guitar
Have you been struggling to learn guitar? Are you beginning to become overwhelmed with all of the available information on learning guitar? I know, as a beginner guitar student, I really did experience an extended period of frustration. Not only the frustration of not being able to play certain chords right away or making mistakes, but the frustration of not knowing where to start in my pursuit of mastering the guitar.
I knew that I could simply just pick a few of my favorite songs, look up the tabs on the internet, and begin learning guitar that way. I knew that was a common way to get started with guitar and so that was what I did. I chose 3 songs that at the time I really enjoyed and began to practice and eventually mastered. A few weeks later I had perfected my song selection, but still didn't feel like I was making the progress with guitar that I was hoping for. The truth is I really wanted to actually learn how to play guitar and gain an understanding of what I was doing rather than just playing other people's songs. I wanted to learn scales, soloing techniques, chord progressions, etc. I wanted to be an all around guitar player.
I knew it would be a challenge, but I knew that if I had some kind of guidance and expertise leading me in the right direction I could learn to play the guitar much more efficiently. My feeling of being overwhelmed began to set in as I set out on my journey to find that guidance. I quickly realized that there is an abundance of resources on learning to play the guitar and I was having a difficult time weeding out the bad from the good. That is until one day I got some advice from a friend who had been playing guitar for awhile and had the ability to really shred on the guitar. I asked him what the secret to his success was.
He told me what most experts' say, "It takes practice, patience, commitment, and the willingness to always be learning something new". I'm a firm believer in each of those things and I was fully willing to do each one, but I told him that I wish I knew where to get started. I didn't want to get started down the wrong path and seriously limit my playing. He fully understood that and that's when he mentioned a program that he used to help him get started with guitar. The program is called Jamorama and he said that since discovering it he has recommended it to every beginner or intermediate guitar student he knows. The thing he liked most about it was how it builds a foundation to grow and learn from.
The program is very user friendly and interactive. It breaks lessons down and makes learning new things on the guitar very easy and enjoyable. Learning to play guitar can be painful and frustrating at times, but it can also be very rewarding. The Jamorama program really is the best program I have found that helps to limit the down times, so that you can actually enjoy the guitar and start showing off your skills even sooner.
