Don't Use Your Children as Weapons

We think this is obviousbut how many of us have seen couples use their children against each other? Hopefully you are not one of them, and if you are STOP!!!

Children are the easiest things to threaten with. Saying things like "If you leave you'll never see your kids again!" or "If you leave, I'll tell them everything you did!" will only drive your spouse further away. Think about what you are saying, the mental health of your children and what you really want the outcome to be. Preventing a divorce at this point, not driving your partner away.

Don't Make Ultimatums or Threats You Can't (or don't want to) Keep

When you're feeling like your world is crumbling, and it might be, you feel like you may not be in control of the situation. Your back is against the wall. That's when we lash out and make ultimatums or threats that we don't really mean.
