Many, many people avoid having to write articles simply because it reminds them of those days in school when you had to write book reports or essays. Yet you're probably finding that if you have a website, you need to get to writing so that you can start generating some kind of traffic to that website.
Of the people that do write articles continuously, they usually have a set plan. And that plan is nothing more than a simple blueprint that they follow in order to continuously write successful articles time after time.
The Title - What will you write about?
This is usually the easy part because keyword research will typically dictate which direction you go. Head to your favorite keyword research tool and enter in a term you want to work with.
Then, use this information to help you determine what you'll be writing about. Jot this down. No need to perfect the title just yet.
The Points You'll Discuss
Ask yourself "What about..." and then fill in that keyword.
If the keyword you chose was "website traffic" then ask yourself "what about website traffic...?"
Consider what readers of your article would consider important about that topic.
A great way to brainstorm this idea is to head to Google, enter in your keyword in quotes and then see what others are discussing. Jot these points down.
As an example:
"Increase website traffic."
"How to get website traffic for free."
"Three ways that doubled traffic to my website."
"Should you buy it?"
"How to get more visitors."
Pick one or a variety of these and use them as different points you'll make within your article.
Write the Content
Once you've picked a few points to discuss, start writing and talk about those points using your own perspective and experience.
It doesn't have to be perfect. Just a rough draft will do.
The Conclusion
Wrap up what you've just talked about and summarize it within a sentence or two.
Re-Read It
The best way to proof-read and tighten up that content is to read it out-loud. This is perhaps the best way to really hear how it sounds for yourself.
And if you don't relish the fact of sitting at your computer reading out-loud consider using a text-to-speech program like TextAloud. Copy your article into the program and have the program read it back to you.
This way you can hear what it currently sounds like and then make adjustments where necessary.
And that's all there is to it. One easy and simple way to write an article time after time.
