Error 28 is basically an error message which shows up if you do not have the correct drivers installed for a particular piece of hardware on your computer. The drivers of your PC are basically small software programs that are designed to "bridge" the gap between the software side of your computer & your hardware. This error is continually being shown if your computer is trying to use a certain piece of hardware on your PC, and can be fixed quite easily.

The first thing to do to fix this error is to make sure you can reinstall / update any errors for the device causing the error. To do this, you can either download an updated driver from the manufacturer's website, or you can look through your PC and let Windows update the various drivers for you. It's then recommended that you use a "registry cleaner" program to fix any of the errors & problems which could be causing the error to show. A registry cleaner is a software tool that will scan through the central registry database of your computer and get rid of any of the problems which are inside. The registry database is a large central storage facility which keeps the likes of your desktop wallpaper, most recent emails and any passwords that you have stored. Despite it being a highly important part of your system, the registry is continually being used by all the software on your PC. The runtime 28 error will likely be caused by the way in which your system will not be able to correctly read the registry settings it requires to run, causing your computer to run much slower and with the error. To fix this, you can download a registry cleaner program, install it and then let it fix any of the problems inside.
