How to Show a Guy That You Are Interested in Him Without Sounding Desperate! Follow These Tips

At this stage in life, you should be fairly familiar with guys and what they are about; therefore, you are already somewhat equipped to show a guy your intentions. In this little guide, showing your intentions usually involves using a slightly more tactful approach than flat out telling him "I really like you and I want to date you".

Getting started...

If the guy of your eye's desires is new to you, or if your interest in an older friend has suddenly gone to the next level, you want to initiate Operation Take-Down (ok, a little nerdy, but that's just me). Your eyes have, possibly, more speaking power than your words. Use them and let him discover you looking and smiling at you-you mustn't stare, though.

Approach him...

Do it "trs lentement et en toute confiance"-which means "very slowly and confidently". Start with some small talk. Ask him how he's doing, what is he is "up to" and what he is doing afterwards. Keep it simple at first.

Let your body compliment your words...

Learn to keep a good, steady and attractive smile on, and keep your eyes focused on him (and remember, you're still not staring, though!) Make it a point to casually brush against him, as if by accident. Playfully wrap your arms around him quickly while the two of you are walking-do so, however, to make it obvious that you are more-or-less just being cute. It'll still pay off in the end.

Take him to dinner, or to the movies...

You can even offer to pay-which is, yes, quite nontraditional and most guys won't let you-and that's fine if he still wants to pay, let him (stroking the 'ole male ego).

Arrange more "intimate" encounters...

Have lunch or dinner with him at your house (or his) while nobody is at home-and this doesn't mean if everything is going fine afterwards, to rush into the bedroom and get it on. Contain yourself, for now!

Join in with him...

Try to participate more with him than his usual girl friends normally would. Take a little interest in some of his hobbies and interests to build some common ground. The goal here is to spend more time with him, thus building on your liking for this guy and possibly popping the big question.

Go in for the kill...

If by now the gem of your eye hasn't proposed a relationship, then move forward and ask him. Do not worry about the old stereotypical notion that the guy is suppose to ask the girl out. You live in modern times, not the mid-20th century.
