With Spring already here and Summer rapidly approaching, people are spending more time outdoors and many of them have pictures in hand ready to capture the beauty of nature and your family and friends. Here are a few pointers to help you take great outdoor pictures that everyone will enjoy.

Create depth in your pictures. Scenes of trees, flowers and mountains may be beautiful in person, but they often look flat in pictures. To remedy this, put a person, animal or some object in the foreground off to one side. This will immediately add depth and make the scene look more alive.

Turn on the flash. By turning the flash in the on position on your camera, you can eliminate dark undereye shadows caused by sunlight. It will also add an extra sparkle to the eyes of the people in your photos.

Face the sun while taking pictures. In the past we have always been to have the sun behind you when you take pictures.
