How to Tie a Tie: A Handy Tool

The "Four in Hand Knot" is a more popular way to tie a men's necktie

. It is a simpler knot than the Windsor knot and mostly used on less formal occasions. To make a "Four in Hand Knot", the wider end is placed on the right side, 25-30 cm above the narrow end. Then, it is twice brought out in front by crossing it across the narrow end. Next, the wider end is brought out of the loop and the knot is pulled up. One can always put the finishing touches by making a small dimple at the place where the knot was kept open, so as to leave a final impression.
