How to Use Your English For Work, Study And More

English: a key to the world There are thousands of places, where you can use English: The countries with the highest populations of native English speakers are, in descending order: United States (215 million), United Kingdom (61 million), Canada (18.2 million), Australia (15.5 million), Nigeria (4 million), Ireland (3.8 million), South Africa (3.7 million), and New Zealand (3.6 million). And it doesn't end here: countries such as the Philippines, Jamaica and Nigeria also have millions of native speakers of local versions of the language.

Then there are the speakers of English as a second language: in many different places across the world these are a great percentage of the local population so that if you go, for example, in Sweden, you'll get by with your English easily in any situation.

With so many places and so many people who speak English, there are also a great many opportunities to use English in several different situations, for example at work,, when you study or ,simply, when you explore.

So, really, it makes a lot of sense to learn English: It takes a lot of effort to learn a language. Then comes a time when you can say "Wow, I can speak English!". That's when you have the key: you can use English in very many different ways

At Work

Speaking a foreign language has always been an advantage in many work situations, especially in white collar jobs (white collar, as opposed to blue collar, is an old way to distinguish between office and factory work, referring to the colour of the shirt that you wear in the office and to that of the overall worn in factories). English now more than ever, so use your English for a job

For Your Studies

There are several good reasons to want to attend courses at universities abroad: personal experience, a more appealing C.V. for better job opportunities, gaining a degree at better universities or a degree that is not offered in your own country So, use your English

to broaden your horizons;

to have a bigger chance of a great career;

to enhance your skills;

to learn more about yourself
