When you keep yourself aware, you help to prevent accidents, which in the long run is always a good thing.

Before using your sprayer with chemicals or other treatments you will want to fill it with water to practice spraying it. This helps to get you familiar with the sprayer and helps to ensure that the sprayer is put together correctly. This is a good practice to hold onto as you become more familiar with your sprayer, as this exercise can also help you to determine if your sprayer has become damaged or clogged with frequent use and/or with age.

Now, you will want to follow the instructions in your particular garden sprayer's manual and remove the pump so that you can fill the reservoir with your premixed formula. Fill the tank to the desired level (but be sure not to overfill due to your sprayer's instructions). Put the cap back on your sprayer and ensure that you have a good seal.
