Don't store your diamonds with other jewelry. This can cause scratches. Instead store your diamonds in jewelry pouches or soft tissue paper to protect them. Also ake sure to keep your diamonds away fro direct sunglight as this can also degrades your jewelry and the diamonds won't be as brilliant~
Make Sure Your Diamond's Setting Is Secured
Inspect your diamond settings frequently to make sure they aren't loose. Bring your diamond jewelry to the jewellers at least once a year so that the settings can be tightened. An added bonus about taking your diamond jewelry to the jeweller is that they will clean your jewelry professionally.
Clean Your Diamonds
Everyday your diamond comes in contact with creams, hairspray and other chemicals which can dull your diamond's brilliance. To clean a diamond effectively mix lukewarm water with a few drops of ammonia and soak your diamond jewelry in the solution for a few minutes. You can also use a nail brush or a tooth brush to gently brush your diamond jewelry for an extra cleanse. Rinse off with warm water and dry with a soft cloth. Make sure to only use a cotton cloth as cotton is the only cloth that will not scratch jewelry.
