How to create a funny flash game with photos online

Nowadays there're a lot of ways to surprise your friends, using their photos: you can make a mug with your friend's smile, or print his photo on a T-shirt, on a pillow, a plate and so on all these are cool ideas for a holiday gift. However, if you're not that into buying real stuff, or your friends are far away there's one more idea you can come up with: creating a flash game starring your friend and sharing it online. A bomb effect is guaranteed!

1. Prepare a photo

Find a funny portrait photo in of your friend, e.g. take it from his Facebook album and save it to your computer or save the URL of the photo.

Try to pick a photo where face is easily recognized.

2. Create a flash photo game online

There're plenty of services that let you to create funny flash games with your photos. I'll be using a service provided by Games.pho.to website (http://games.pho.to).

To create a photo game, click Create game. It will ask to Login, the best way is to connect with Facebook. Otherwise, you'll need to register.

You'll be able to choose a template for your game.

Pick any, there're about 15 templates available now. If your friend is a sports fan, pick up Football Fever or Beach Bounce in those games your friend will be playing football and volleyball. If your friend is a girl, pick Find your clothes this is a dress up game.

After you selected the template, you'll be shown a preview scene: there'll be some empty slots. Click one slot to add a photo to it.

Pick a photo of your friend you've found on the step 1 and it will be added to the slot. Click Play and your funny flash photo game is ready! You can customize the game more by editing it, adding music, funny name and description.

3. Send a game to your friend

To send the game you've created, copy a link in the right box and send it to your friend via IM or email. Send it and enjoy the effect!

There're some other ways: you can copy the game code and insert it to your blog, or share the link to the game via Twitter or other social services using the bookmark button.
