Copying PS2 games is easy, but how do you play it on you PS2 without a modchip? The PS2 does not recognize burnt disks directly because they have a protection system and do not allow you to play games that are burnt. As with many protection systems there is a workaround this. You may have heard of modchips and cogswap but these are hardware related methods and void your warranty and can damage your PS2. You may be wondering if there is a software based method of playing copied PS2 games. Yes there is and I will describe this in the tutorial. PS2 disks are burnt in a special way, the protection system is burnt onto the disk physically and when we copy it using conventional methods the protection system for the PS2 is not copied. But Game Copy Wizard copies the required game and also writes the protection system for the PS2 onto the disk. This way all you need to do is to pop in the disk into you PS2 and then play it without a hitch. Again this method does NOT require a modchip. Game Copy Wizard is downloadable software and is unique. It works for all versions of the PS2 both fat and slim. It is the safest way to play copies PS2 games on your console. Heres how you do it Get the ISO of the game you want to play. DOWNLOAD and install game copy wizard. Insert a new DVD-r into you disk drive and select burn ISO rom the menu. Wait for the burn process to complete; this may take longer than a normal burn because the protection system has to be burnt onto the disk. Thats it. Now just insert the disk into your PS2 and play!
